Calabash

One day when I picked Pierce up from school while I was pregnant his teacher told me that he told them the baby's name. When I asked what he said they told me 'Calabash.' So the rest of my pregnancy Pierce would call the baby Calabash. I think he had a little encouragement from Pop once he found out about this because he thought it was so funny. We don't even eat in Calabash usally at the beach, however we do usually make a stop at the Calabash Creamery for ice cream when we drive through. So once the baby was born and we would ask Holt what the baby's name was he would shout 'Calabash.' Pierce doesn't say it anymore, he calls her by her name, but that is the only thing Holt will call Camden and what he says everytime someone ask her name. So for now Holt's baby sister is Calabash.

Camden Gray Latta

Pierce wanted to hold her as soon as he got to the hospital and my wild man found the window way more interesting..

The trash cans were the biggest hit of the night when they came to visit.

Camden Gray was born Monday, May 11th at 3:01 pm. We are home and doing great. Tired and adjusting to life at home with three but loving every minute with this precious baby girl. I still can't believe she was a girl and find myself stilling saying 'he' at times and pinching myself with all the pink around the house. The boys adore her and want to hold her and give her kisses all the time. We had a checkup today and she is gaining weight and doing great.

Strawberry Picking

While we were waiting for our baby to arrive last week I thought it would be a good idea to go strawberry picking 40 weeks pregnant. When I asked my mom if she wanted to come she said it might be muddy after all the rain. I told her I didn't think so since it was sunny the day before and didn't rain. Oh boy was I wrong. We literally had to go through mud puddles to get to the end of our row of strawberries, but it was well worth it in the end.

My neat child helping Gran, he decided after the first few picks and dirt and bugs that he would just hold the basket and let Gran pick.

Holt held the box the entire time even when it was full to the brim and weighed a ton. He also 'helped me' pick the strawberries.

We thought we should taste them after all our hard work.

Our annual tradition..the best stawberry icecream after we finish.

T-Ball

Pierce started his first official sport a few weeks ago. He is doing a t-ball clinic at the Y. He seems to enjoy it and now it will be more fun that daddy is home and can take him for the last few weeks.
