Pray with me

My forever best friend was diagnosed with breast cancer almost a month ago. She is one of the strongest people I know and loves the Lord with all her heart. She is showing me what faith, trust, and preseverence really look like and allowing me to walk with her through this journey. I am praying for complete healing and recovery, pray with me as her sweet family walks through this trial.

Pictures!!

One of my favorite people in the world took pictures of our family a couple weeks ago. Hope thank you for capturing our family so well, down to Holt licking Camden's face :) Thank you for taking time to spend with us, for sweating it out with us that night, and being patient with these three wild ones.

Keller and Bradley's Party

The boys got to go to 'camp', that is Camp Lurecrest to celebrate Bradley and Keller's 5th Birthday. All the dads took the boys up for the night, plus Sophie (who I must say is one brave girl to take on all these boys), to have the birthday party and 24 hours full of adventure. They got to do the zipline, swim in the lake, go on nature walks, and sleep in bunk beds, and all kinds of creative games and adventures in between. The boys had a blast and we heard nothing but Pirates and about the party for several days to follow. Lindsay and Sarah, thank you for all the hard work you put into and being such great host. Happy Father's Day!

I can't even remember what they were looking at on the computer, but must of been good.

I am beyond blessed, thank you for being the best father and being everything I could ever want and more in a dad and husband. I love watching how much all three of our children adore you. We love you!

Cathing Up

I feel way behind on blogging so hopefully in the next few days I will be able to catch up. So Amy here they come :)


This was at about 1o pm one night during a thunderstorm. We had got the boys to bed really late this night and Jason and I were both in the downstairs bedroom working on the computer and they came down because they were scared. Since we continued to be productive and we knew even if we took them upstairs they would be down again in two minutes we let them hang out for a bit. If you look closely Pierce has a bug catching net in his hand and told us he was 'catching the lightning' and Holt had his helmet on 'to block the lightning.' Love these imaginations!

The stairs. The first few weeks Camden learned to climb the stairs I would say "Camden, sit on the step on your bottom" and amazingly enough she would do it. Sometimes putting her fingers in her mouth and just swinging her legs, looking at us. Jason and I thought this was great, really one of our children actually listens to us. Oh, but this was short lived, now we are chasing her up the stairs to catch her. The girl is seriously on the move and I can't even give justice to her climbing abilities. She will climb anything and everything. At the beach she would manage to get right up onto the chairs at the table and just sit and smile at us. By the end of the week she managed getting up on the table. She is also starting to babble lots, loves playing peek a boo, and knows what she wants when she wants it. She loves to be chased and is full of joy. We also had her eye checked and the Dr. said it is fine, we will go back in 6 months to have them rechecked.

This was in Philadelphia when I went up for my granddads funeral. I was so proud of myself because my dad brought a basket full of clean laundry up from the cellar and I volunteered to hang it on the clothes line. I even managed to find the clothes line and hang them across the patio. I thought I had done a great job...until my dad called my grandmother outside and was laughing. Who would of known you don't fold towels and t-shirts over and you have to shake the clothes out first. My grandmother did tell me she was proud of me for the effort after I got a lesson in the correct way :) And yes to this day my grandmother has never had a dryer, I love that and I imagine she would not even want one if you offered it to her. So for my aunts who didn't get to see my lovely job in person this one's for you.

Holt - Costumes and Hair

Superman cape, Pierce's graduation necklace, sword, gun, and sunglasses complete this costume.

Holt loves costumes and can come up with some pretty interesting combinations from the costume bins. He will come down stairs in his army suit or Buzz Light and ask to go outside when its 90 degrees out. The boy makes me sweat just to look at him. He would wear them all day long if I wasn't so mean to not let him go out in them in this heat.

His newest fad is to try to comb his hair like Pierce's every night after bath. It drives me crazy as I love his curls. And I thought only girls wanted what the other had. Pierce trys to make his hair curly and gets so excited when its sweaty because he says he looks like Holt and Holt tries to comb his to look like Pierce. Although I must say I see a lot more of Pierce in Holt with his hair combed straight.

On Saturday we all got to spend the day together at my Aunt Diane's and Uncle Sam's.

Mom Mom with all her grandchildren. This is the first time we have all been together in several years.

We added the spouses in this one. Alexis and I held hands since Jason and Steve couldn't be there. Jason kept the kids at home for three nights so I could go up to Philly for the service and to be with my family. I thought in my head I would come back and he would appreciate me so much, I know this is prideful but sometimes as moms we think how could anyone else do all that we do. I actually came back with so much appreciation for him. He had never had two of them alone for two nights and did amazing with all three. When I called to check on him on Saturday morning he was making pancakes with sprinkles. Thanks Babe!!

My Pop Pop

My sweet Pop Pop passed away last Tuesday. These were the last pictures I have of him from our visit in December. We are thankful he got to meet Camden and more importantly that he is not suffering any more. He was an amazing husband, father, and granddad and was so blessed by my Mom Mom and his children who took such good care of him and loved him so well. They were an example to all of us of what marriage and caring for our parents should look like.
