Post Jason Review

Who knew shin guards were suppose to go under the socks? Not this mommy. I kinda wondered why I took Pierce last night and Jason went to the pool, it was my idea but after Jason pointed this out to me tonight, I think I better let him go from here on out. He also reminded me to please not take him to soccer practice like this.

My big boy!

I took Pierce last night on a 'date' to get his new soccer gear and ice cream. Camden came along with us because Jason went to pool with Holt. As we were walking through the store Pierce said mom, "This is Camden's first date."
I am already emotional thinking about the fact that this time next year he will be going to kindergarten and then to see him in soccer gear..is he really old enough?! He had his socks on when he walked downstairs from bed this morning and had me put this shin guards and shoes on and of course we had to buy an orange ball last night.

More Pics...

Aunt Patricia and Holt
I found my thumb!

Does anyone else think this bite is a little too large? The boy can eat some spaghetti!

This is Holt peering through the window by his bed during naptime one day. This was a daily occurence every day at naptime and bedtime. Bless his heart, we would put him down and then we would watch his big brother leave to go fishing with Pop or the beach with daddy. One night we were across the street and could hear him yelling at us..all the while Pierce was passed out next to him not hearing a thing. But how could we get frusterated with his smile!

OIB August

Uncle Bill and Holt- we untangled Holt's fishing rod a minimum of five times a day
This was our first time swimming in the canal, at high tide of course. The boys loved it. I showed off my swimming skills and should of beat Bill if it was not for a swim suit malfunction.

The boys wrestling cousin Bill. This is Mr. Hurley...for those of you who wonder if my husband is sponsored by Hurley since he is always wearing it, he's not, we just have a pretty good cousin and connection. Calling All the Single Ladies... :)

The newly engaged couple, Jimmy and Tricia. They asked Holt to be the ring bearer in their wedding. We are so excited. My cousin Theresa's little girl Grace will be the flower girl. What is really cool is my brother and Theresa were the ring bearer and flower girl in Tricia's mom's wedding, my Aunt Patricia.

Rachel and Pierce

We went to the beach one last time for the summer this past week. My dad's sister and family came down for 3 nights and we had a blast being all together. There were 13 of us in my parents house and I have to say my kids slept better those three nights then the rest of the week. Maybe it was the constant attention and never stopping during the day that wore them out. Thank you so much for coming to see us, we loved having you guys. Miss you!!

Mammy

Camden got to meet her great grandmother, Mammy today. Her neice Rebecca brought her up to see the boys and Camden. They both brought her the most beautiful dresses and Mammy made her two sweet blankets. She also brought her a picture of her husband and her from many years ago, as Camden's middle name Gray was her great grandfather's middle name. Our kids are blessed to have three great grandmothers and one great grandfather alive.

Nursery Pictures

Here are some pictures of Camden's nursery. We still have some finishing touches (like putting her pictures in the frames instead of Holt's) but its pretty much done. One of my best friends Catherine who is an incredible person and decorator helped me with the fabric, thanks Cat!!

Dirty Boys

This picture doesn't quite do it justice, but this is the bathtub after the boys bath this past Saturday. We had some friends over that have three boys and they all played outside the whole night in the dirt, mulch, and sand. I wish I had a picture of Holt before we wiped him off. He looked like he had camouflage on he was so dirty. They tried to bring cicada shells in the house in their pockets when it was time to come in, that's where I had to draw the line. Although these would of been better than the WORMS Pierce and I had for dinner last night. I'm not quite ready to share that story yet as I'm still feeling sick from the thought of it.

Squirrel Lake Park

We went with some friends from church last week to Squirrel Lake Park in Matthews. When Noel told us to bring along water shoes I thought she just meant for the kiddos who would be playing by a creek. Little did I know we would all be walking through the creek. This was every boys dream..although the girls who came along seemed to enjoy it just as much. I was thankful Pierce saw a snake after we were out of the water and not while I was treading through in my bare feet..hence why I was not holding the boys hands as I was far behind taking my time on the rocks.
