3 Children Continued...
Life with three children four and under is insane for us right now. It is exhausting, crazy, and frustrating at times. However, we wouldn’t change where we are for the world and the blessings and rewards are so much greater than the struggles of where we are. Sunday night I was overwhelmed with life but God reminded me in little ways the past two days just how sweet life is right now and how richly blessed I am. So I’m sorry to the friends and family who have to hear me complain, thank you for the listening ears and encouraging words, and remind me how fast these precious days will go when I’m in the midst of the chaos again. All that to say here are some funny stories and happenings from our past week…
-Sunday was one of those crazy days as I said above and I was taking a meal to a friend and Jason was home with all three. I had left a bottle for Camden and when I got back in the car to come home I saw I missed a call from Jason. Jason was helping me get our dinner ready and holding down the fort too. When I called him back Camden was still asleep but it was time for her to eat so Jason asked me, “Do you want me to wake her up and nurse her now?” Oh if only he could…bless his heart, I think this weekend wiped him out too.
-I’ve come to the realization that 20 minutes is now considered a really good workout and that is even if I can fit it in a few days a week.
-I have also mastered wiping Holt’s bottom while nursing Camden. I know doesn’t sound very sanitary, but I also manage to wash my hands afterwards. To follow that with a potty training story I won’t be forgetting anytime soon. Last Wednesday I had planned on taking the kids to the nature museum, however it was 11:45 by the time we were ready to leave the house and Pierce had a friend coming over after lunch. So Chick-fil-a was our ‘get out of the house’ outing for the day. We had just made the turn with potty training where Holt was really seeming to get it. He had evened pooped in the potty about an hour before we left. So since he had the pee part down and he had already pooped I figured we were safe to leave in undies. After lunch I let the boys play on the playground. After about 15 minutes Pierce informed me Holt had pooped. Oh had he ever! I take him out to the car to clean him up when I see how bad it is. We are talking, down his legs, on his stomach, everywhere!! 10 wipes later, 5 gags, and who knows how many stares from the drive through lane behind us I get him in a pull-up, the only option in my car. So he walks barefoot and clothless back into chick-fil-a to grab our belongings and head out. Thank goodness Sarah had met us and was there to hold Camden as she was screaming and hungry by this point. I pass a mom on my way out with two little girls and she just looks at me and says, “Bless your heart, you have your hands full.” I would have to agree. All that to say I now have extra clothes in the car for our outings and we will continue wearing pull-ups in public for awhile!
-Yesterday as I was leaving Babies’r’Us I had a “bless your heart” moment for another mom and thought, now that’s a bad day. While I was in line I could hear a little boy whining in front of me but just thought he was wanting something or giving his mom a hard time. I looked over and saw she had two other children in the cart. Only when I went to leave did I see the real problem, her son who was probably Pierce’s age had backed his bottom into one of the ride toys ( the ones you put a quarter in) and had got STUCK! They could not get him out. By this point there were several employees helping along with the mom and the boy was hysterical. I wanted to call Babies’r’Us when I got home and check on the poor boy but thought they might think I was crazy. So, that’s a bad day!
I’m sure I’ll have many more stories to come but I wanted to record these so I can remember these days later on. This is my only attempt at a journal so if you read my blog you get to enter into our world too or you can just skip my rambling silly stories :)

3 children
Here are some things I have learned I could do with three children or never imagined I do...
-I've made a peanut butter and jelly while nursing Camden
-I now think taking only two children to the grocery store is easy
-I feel like a 'big girl' out on the town when I got out in the 4-Runner instead of my minivan
-I paid a babysitter and never even make it out of the house
-I received this phone call from a friend saying “we got an envelope in the mail from you but there was nothing in it, we think maybe it was suppose to be a picture of your new baby but we weren’t sure.” Oh yes, that was suppose to be a birth announcement. I also got another one back in the mail when we got back from the beach that I didn’t put postage on. Oops. Guess I needed more sleep that day.
-I've nursed anywhere and everywhere, even in a Victoria Secret dressing room, isn't that funny!
-When Jason got home from work one night and asked why there were drinking cups with dirt, multch, and sand in them, my only response is "whatever entertains them works for me right now."

Don't worry, Pop even got Camden a fishing hat.
More pictures..
This was a rainy day and I had bought these clay airplane kits down for them to paint and pulled them out when we were going a little stir crazy. As you can see Holt has as much paint on himself as he did on his plane. I also learned that when you get paint kits out of the dollar bin at Micheal's the paint is not washable, Holt wore these colors for a few days.
Beach trip
Bradley, Pierce, and Holt watching the parade, I think they collected more candy than they got at Halloween. The daddy's took the boys down to the parade as Sarah and I were nursing back at the house. I think by the time we got there 10 minutes late they had each eaten about 10 pieces each, they only could get away with that with their daddies.
We got back from the beach on Sunday and had a great time. The Pays and Wilders were both down at OIB and it was really fun to be able to hang out with friends. The boys loved having friends to play with and we enjoyed time with the parents. We even got a night out without kiddos with Bert and Holly. It had been way to long since the four of us have done dinner and it was fun reminiscing back to the time we spent together in college going to the beach and just catching up. Here are lots of pictures from our time at the beach...
Summer afternoon fun
