19 Months Old

I came up to the play room one day and realized the bear definitely had something in his mouth. The picture doesn't quite do it justice but the bears face was literally poking out full of poo!

She loves shoes! Her red sparkly ones are her favorite, she brings them to us constantly to put on and if I choose another pair for an outfit she fusses for these.

I missed doing an 18 month old post for Camden so will catch up from here. She continues to keep us on our toes and keep us tired but we are loving seeing her become such a little girl with quite a spunky personality. I would say her 'average' wake up time is 5:45 but ranges from 5 am to 6:45, let's just say we are excited when she makes it till 6:30. Her naps are finally starting to get a little longer than the one hour norm we had been taking for months. She is up to an hour and half or even two on a really good day. She loves necklaces and my brush for blush. Her favorite book lately has been her brothers Star Wars book. I think she just likes to take it from them but she will sit on the chair with it pretend to look at it. She loves babies and giving them bottles or taking them on walks in anything that she can push. As for eating, well that is not very important to her. She will not eat any meat, is pretty good about fruit, and mostly survives off her milk which she loves. I am too tired to look up her stats but I think she was closer to 90% in height and 25% in weight. She continues to know what she wants and will get as loud as possible to let us know. She can also throw some pretty good fits when things are not her way. She loves to cuddle and blows kisses all day long. She is starting to say a lot of words and make lots of sounds for the words that aren't quite coming out yet. She loves her pink blanket and takes it with her around the house most days. Her brothers continue to adore her, Holt is still a little rough but they have started playing together more while Pierce is at school. She thinks Pierce hung the moon and will do whatever he tells her. Pierce will often say, "mommy, I like having a baby sister or mommy I don't want her to get any bigger". I would have to agree, there definately is a twinge of sadness to think we are moving out of the baby stage.

N.C. State Homecoming Game

Jason and I got to a State game this year for first time since before Pierce was born. We used to get season tickets pre kiddos so it was so much fun to be back. A lot of our close friends from college were able to come to so we got to catch up while tailgating before the game. We are hoping to be able to get up for at least a game every year now.

Leah, Dana, Liz, Brynn and me tailgating before the game.
Matt, Chung, Jason, and Lee

It was homecoming and senior day.

Updates

Its been awhile since I've posted so will try to catch up on the past month or so. This was Pierce's Lego Party he had for his birthday. He loved it! They built airplanes and then programmed them by the computer to move. The cupcake toppers were made by my super multi-talented friend Sarah for his party.
We also spent Thanksgiving in Durham. I tried to get a picture of the kiddos after the meal but they weren't going to have it. I really wanted one of Aidan(his cousin) and Holt, as Aidan had to have the same tooth pulled out that Holt had pulled, only a week after Holt had his out.

6th Birthday

He did have a few other surprises outside of legos that he was excited about, the Nerf gun he's holding, star wars pj's, and a bass pro shop gift certificate to stock his tackle box!

Pierce turned 6 years old yesterday! It was all about legos. He's quite easy to shop for now because that is the only thing he wants or asks for. He woke up before six yesterday morning with the rest of the house. We didn't think we would have time for breakfast before school but since everyone was up at the crack of dawn we headed to M&J donuts for a birthday treat before school. Camden and I took cupcakes to the class and got to play outside with his class which was fun. The girls in his class loved walking Camden around and it was fun for me to have time to play with Pierce and his friends. He got to open one gift before school which was a Power Miner lego set. When he got home from school he stood in front of his cabinet downstairs for 3 hours straight and assembled the entire 300 piece set. Literally he did not move from his spot the entire time. We had pizza with Gran and Pop, headed to Forest Hill for a fun preschool program and then back for cake and ice cream. You know your child has had way too much sugar when he's getting in bed and says, "mommy I don't think I like icing." It was a really fun day celebrating him. He is having his first birthday party outside of our house on Sunday at none other than the LEGO store!!

The tooth fairy came early...

Holt had to have his top tooth pulled last week. After a couple good falls, a loose tooth, and then an infection the only option we were left with was to pull it. I was pretty sad about but he was thrilled to have a loose tooth and then a tooth out like Pierce. He was super brave and the missing tooth has not phased him. It will likely not grow back until he is seven so here our new beautiful smile!

Halloween

Pierce with Elena, his friend from class who loves Star Wars as much as him.

Recent Pictures

We switched toys out a couple of weekends ago and Camden has loved the grocery cart. She pushes it around with all the food and in true Camden fashion has learned how to climb in and out of it.

Pierce's first 'project' for school. He had to choose an animal and make a poster board on it. He chose a deer. The night he told us he wanted to do a deer we were sitting at the kitchen table eating dinner and two deer were right behind our fence in our backyard. We had never seen one any where near our house so that was really fun. If you look at the bottom of the poster he wrote "Pierce Latta 6." For the past month whenever he draws a picture or rights he signs it with a 6 since he is five, but getting ready to turn 6 :)

Last weekend we had friends over and had smores by the fire pit. The boys are listening to Shane tell one of his great 'boy's stories by the fire. I was messing with the settings on my camera in this picture, I thought it was neat how it turned the smoke from the fire orange.

Pumpkins

My boys love pumpkins. From the moment they realize it is pumpkin time they are begging us to go buy their pumpkins. We usually head to the 'pumpkin patch' to pick out theirs and then thrifty mommy gets the big ones from the grocery store. You would of thought it was Christmas morning went we went to get their pumpkins.

Wedding pictures

Waiting to walk down the isle

The Lindsay Family

Camden only made an appearance at the wedding, if you look closely she's handing me the bow out of her hair, all done Mommy.

More Wedding Pics

Rachel and I busted out our side pony tails late night on Thursday.
Practicing at rehearsal.

My aunt wanted to recreate this picture. She has the same picture of her and my brother, who was the ring bearer in her wedding, pretty special.

Tricia and Jimmy's wedding

We spent last weekend in Philadelphia for my cousin, Tricia's wedding. They boys (Jason, Pierce, Holt, and my dad) left at 3:30 am Thursday morning and mom and I flew up with Camden. As I have said in the past Camden really dislikes the car and since it was too expensive for all of us to fly we decided to split up and take advantage of her still being free and avoid the stress of having her in the car for 10 hours. It was a good decision, she was an angel on the plane and the boys had a fun road trip.
The wedding weekend was a blast. Thursday night was the rehearsal dinner, complete with a south Philly string band and all. Friday we took it easy and Jason and I got to go out and watch the games with the family and experience first hand how 'spirited' Philly fans are. Saturday was the wedding and reception. The weather was perfect and the wedding and reception was gorgeous. The pictures will be in random order as I used both cameras during the weekend. Congrats Jimmy and Tricia!

He looks way too old :(

So all weekend the boys knew they were getting a 'present' but had to wait until after the wedding. So once boredom sat in at the reception they got to go find their presents. They could not of been happier, Star Wars costumes! So you know you will be seeing more pictures of these come Halloween.

Race for the Cure

Amy's mom is on the right, she's a 10 year survivor of breast cancer and made her this fun sign!

This weekend I walked in Race for the Cure with Amy and Team Patwa. It was awesome, Amy had a huge team and lots of support. I had never participated in this race before, and wow, you realize how many people are affected by breast cancer. 1 in 8 women. Amy was the most enthusiastic and beautiful survivor our there. Check out her pink wig and pink fish net panty hose.

Playdate with Charis

Charis came over to play with us for a couple hours last week while Amy had an appointment. She truly is angel. She never fussed the whole time, took her bottle, ate her food, sat in the car seat during carpool without a noise, she's amazing! Camden loved having her, it was super cute how into her she was. When she first got her bottle she just went and laid beside her and then she decided she wanted to help. Camden was even somewhat calm in the carpool line. I think we need to have her over more, maybe her laid back attitude will rub off on Camden :)

Where we have been...

We have had some fun, busy weekends the past few months. We threw my mom a 60th suprise Birthday party and then last weekend was Catherine's baby shower.

A Show

Periodically, the boys will grab instruments, turn out the lights, and put on a 'show' for us on the fireplace. Guess who wanted to join the show last night? Pierce's outfit is a 2T-3T halloween costume I found in their closet last night and Holt chose a gun as a musical instrument, go figure. And can you see Camden's mullet from the side? My mom tells me I could trim it but she's finally getting hair and she's a girl, eventually her hair will come in in the front :)

Pierce has some serious hip action when he dances, it is hilarious.
