19 Months Old

I came up to the play room one day and realized the bear definitely had something in his mouth. The picture doesn't quite do it justice but the bears face was literally poking out full of poo!

She loves shoes! Her red sparkly ones are her favorite, she brings them to us constantly to put on and if I choose another pair for an outfit she fusses for these.

I missed doing an 18 month old post for Camden so will catch up from here. She continues to keep us on our toes and keep us tired but we are loving seeing her become such a little girl with quite a spunky personality. I would say her 'average' wake up time is 5:45 but ranges from 5 am to 6:45, let's just say we are excited when she makes it till 6:30. Her naps are finally starting to get a little longer than the one hour norm we had been taking for months. She is up to an hour and half or even two on a really good day. She loves necklaces and my brush for blush. Her favorite book lately has been her brothers Star Wars book. I think she just likes to take it from them but she will sit on the chair with it pretend to look at it. She loves babies and giving them bottles or taking them on walks in anything that she can push. As for eating, well that is not very important to her. She will not eat any meat, is pretty good about fruit, and mostly survives off her milk which she loves. I am too tired to look up her stats but I think she was closer to 90% in height and 25% in weight. She continues to know what she wants and will get as loud as possible to let us know. She can also throw some pretty good fits when things are not her way. She loves to cuddle and blows kisses all day long. She is starting to say a lot of words and make lots of sounds for the words that aren't quite coming out yet. She loves her pink blanket and takes it with her around the house most days. Her brothers continue to adore her, Holt is still a little rough but they have started playing together more while Pierce is at school. She thinks Pierce hung the moon and will do whatever he tells her. Pierce will often say, "mommy, I like having a baby sister or mommy I don't want her to get any bigger". I would have to agree, there definately is a twinge of sadness to think we are moving out of the baby stage.

N.C. State Homecoming Game

Jason and I got to a State game this year for first time since before Pierce was born. We used to get season tickets pre kiddos so it was so much fun to be back. A lot of our close friends from college were able to come to so we got to catch up while tailgating before the game. We are hoping to be able to get up for at least a game every year now.

Leah, Dana, Liz, Brynn and me tailgating before the game.
Matt, Chung, Jason, and Lee

It was homecoming and senior day.

Updates

Its been awhile since I've posted so will try to catch up on the past month or so. This was Pierce's Lego Party he had for his birthday. He loved it! They built airplanes and then programmed them by the computer to move. The cupcake toppers were made by my super multi-talented friend Sarah for his party.
We also spent Thanksgiving in Durham. I tried to get a picture of the kiddos after the meal but they weren't going to have it. I really wanted one of Aidan(his cousin) and Holt, as Aidan had to have the same tooth pulled out that Holt had pulled, only a week after Holt had his out.

6th Birthday

He did have a few other surprises outside of legos that he was excited about, the Nerf gun he's holding, star wars pj's, and a bass pro shop gift certificate to stock his tackle box!

Pierce turned 6 years old yesterday! It was all about legos. He's quite easy to shop for now because that is the only thing he wants or asks for. He woke up before six yesterday morning with the rest of the house. We didn't think we would have time for breakfast before school but since everyone was up at the crack of dawn we headed to M&J donuts for a birthday treat before school. Camden and I took cupcakes to the class and got to play outside with his class which was fun. The girls in his class loved walking Camden around and it was fun for me to have time to play with Pierce and his friends. He got to open one gift before school which was a Power Miner lego set. When he got home from school he stood in front of his cabinet downstairs for 3 hours straight and assembled the entire 300 piece set. Literally he did not move from his spot the entire time. We had pizza with Gran and Pop, headed to Forest Hill for a fun preschool program and then back for cake and ice cream. You know your child has had way too much sugar when he's getting in bed and says, "mommy I don't think I like icing." It was a really fun day celebrating him. He is having his first birthday party outside of our house on Sunday at none other than the LEGO store!!

The tooth fairy came early...

Holt had to have his top tooth pulled last week. After a couple good falls, a loose tooth, and then an infection the only option we were left with was to pull it. I was pretty sad about but he was thrilled to have a loose tooth and then a tooth out like Pierce. He was super brave and the missing tooth has not phased him. It will likely not grow back until he is seven so here our new beautiful smile!

Halloween

Pierce with Elena, his friend from class who loves Star Wars as much as him.

Recent Pictures

We switched toys out a couple of weekends ago and Camden has loved the grocery cart. She pushes it around with all the food and in true Camden fashion has learned how to climb in and out of it.

Pierce's first 'project' for school. He had to choose an animal and make a poster board on it. He chose a deer. The night he told us he wanted to do a deer we were sitting at the kitchen table eating dinner and two deer were right behind our fence in our backyard. We had never seen one any where near our house so that was really fun. If you look at the bottom of the poster he wrote "Pierce Latta 6." For the past month whenever he draws a picture or rights he signs it with a 6 since he is five, but getting ready to turn 6 :)

Last weekend we had friends over and had smores by the fire pit. The boys are listening to Shane tell one of his great 'boy's stories by the fire. I was messing with the settings on my camera in this picture, I thought it was neat how it turned the smoke from the fire orange.
