Lazy 5

We took the kids to Lazy 5 Ranch over Christmas break. They loved it!! It was actually a great time to go, we were the only car driving through at the time and it was beautiful with snow still on the ground.

Holt started out feeding the animals with Pierce but after the first Emu stuck its head on the way in the car he jumped to the back seat. He scooted back to the middle a couple times but anytime a Llama or Emu was close he would jump right over the seat. Pierce loved feeding them. Once he realized how aggressive some of them were he would start to just throw the food on the ground.
A picture out the back window, probably eating all the food Pierce would throw to the ground.

Some of the animals would literally start running along side of the car for the food.

I was convinced Jason was going to run one of the animals over, especially the pigs and llamas. He was sure they would move but he would literally be brushing them before they moved over.

A couple fun Christmas Presents

My aunt sent the kids these great pillows (a.k.a. husbands) and matching blankets for Christmas. They love them. My dad still uses one of these to watch tv on the floor sometimes so the boys thought it was great. We are ready for movie night now!
Holt got an automatic batting tee for Christmas. One day during break when it was once again freezing and we were going crazy inside Jason set up this 'batting cage' for Holt in the garage, I have to give it to him on being creative.

White Christmas

Camden's first time playing in the snow. Last year she stayed inside with mommy but we got her out this time. She lasted for a little bit but when you don't want to wear mittens it gets cold pretty fast. Thanks Aunt Corie and Uncle Daniel for my new ski jacket!

Christmas

This was Holt's first year to be in the Christmas Eve Pageant at church. We thought he was a pretty cute sheep.

Since Pierce was a veteran this year he got to be a King. He was asked to be Joseph but told me he didn't want to. He later said he was scared he'd drop baby Jesus. Maybe he didn't realize it was a baby doll :)

Waiting at the top of the stairs to come down. Camden got up at her usual that morning, 5:20, and Pierce heard her up. So I laid in bed with him and managed to keep him down until 6:20 when Holt got up while Jason stayed with Camden in her room. They were going crazy to go downstairs. They were a lot calmer when they saw their toys then I thought they would be. Pierce got a lego set that he'd been wanting for over a year and he just commented on it and went on. Holt was only interested in Pierce's stuff and Camden started to walk out of the room. I think she was overwhelmed. The items they spent the most time looking at that morning were their dollar store items. Glowsticks for the boys and Camden got necklaces that she has not taken off since. Pierce then spent the next 4 hours putting together his 800 piece lego set. Holt decided he would let Jason put his together, he's not too much for instructions yet.

Her other favorite gift was her stroller. Holt tore it later that day when he decided to sit in it, go figure.

Christmas

Camden wasn't real excited about buying the Christmas tree this year. Maybe because it was 8 in the morning and 20 degrees out?
I'm not sure which one the boys enjoyed more, the ginger bread houses at Ballantyne Resort or taking pictures with their cameras.

Daddy had lots of time off during the break so we got to do several fun family outings together before Camden got the stomach bug and then after she was better. We went downtown to see the bears and the HUGE ginger bread house at the Ritz.

19 Months Old

I came up to the play room one day and realized the bear definitely had something in his mouth. The picture doesn't quite do it justice but the bears face was literally poking out full of poo!

She loves shoes! Her red sparkly ones are her favorite, she brings them to us constantly to put on and if I choose another pair for an outfit she fusses for these.

I missed doing an 18 month old post for Camden so will catch up from here. She continues to keep us on our toes and keep us tired but we are loving seeing her become such a little girl with quite a spunky personality. I would say her 'average' wake up time is 5:45 but ranges from 5 am to 6:45, let's just say we are excited when she makes it till 6:30. Her naps are finally starting to get a little longer than the one hour norm we had been taking for months. She is up to an hour and half or even two on a really good day. She loves necklaces and my brush for blush. Her favorite book lately has been her brothers Star Wars book. I think she just likes to take it from them but she will sit on the chair with it pretend to look at it. She loves babies and giving them bottles or taking them on walks in anything that she can push. As for eating, well that is not very important to her. She will not eat any meat, is pretty good about fruit, and mostly survives off her milk which she loves. I am too tired to look up her stats but I think she was closer to 90% in height and 25% in weight. She continues to know what she wants and will get as loud as possible to let us know. She can also throw some pretty good fits when things are not her way. She loves to cuddle and blows kisses all day long. She is starting to say a lot of words and make lots of sounds for the words that aren't quite coming out yet. She loves her pink blanket and takes it with her around the house most days. Her brothers continue to adore her, Holt is still a little rough but they have started playing together more while Pierce is at school. She thinks Pierce hung the moon and will do whatever he tells her. Pierce will often say, "mommy, I like having a baby sister or mommy I don't want her to get any bigger". I would have to agree, there definately is a twinge of sadness to think we are moving out of the baby stage.

N.C. State Homecoming Game

Jason and I got to a State game this year for first time since before Pierce was born. We used to get season tickets pre kiddos so it was so much fun to be back. A lot of our close friends from college were able to come to so we got to catch up while tailgating before the game. We are hoping to be able to get up for at least a game every year now.

Leah, Dana, Liz, Brynn and me tailgating before the game.

It was homecoming and senior day.
