Four!

Daddy drew Star Wars ships on the basketball court and the boys launched water balloons at them from the tree house.

Holt turned 4 on the 19th of February. He had his first official birthday party for just him, as we had did combined parties with friends the past two years. Holt loves his brother and honestly until the past month has had no interest in having friends other than Pierce. If we ever asked if you could have anyone over to play who would it be..Pierce. Who’s your best friend? Pierce. Who do you want to come to your party..Pierce. So we were excited he wanted to have a party and invite his 'friends'. When he did decide he wanted the party he said he wanted a lego party just like Pierce. We told him he wasn’t old enough to have it at the store. So he decided he wanted a lego party at home and guess who he wanted as the teacher..Pierce. So easy enough, I buy lego sets, have friends over and its done. I let him choose his friends he wanted to invite. He had five friends which was the perfect size. Two of them were Pierce's friends but he loves them and it made Pierce happy so it worked out well. It was the perfect size and a fun couple hours. Pierce did get a little too excited about building his own set and decided he didn’t want to help the others , but other than that he was a great teacher.
So Holt..why I love you so much. I have said recently that you really are the easy one right now. (and there was a time I never thought I'd say this..I'm also holding on to this in hopes for your sweet sister) You love being with your mommy and don’t mind running errands or just being with me if I’m busy at home. I love how you will just lay with me. I love how you love to listen to my silly made up stories about two little boys. You are beautiful and have the best smile in the world. Your curls, they are gorgeous, everyone you meet loves them. You love your brother and sister so much and love to show them your love. You love giving mommy hugs and I love you asking me to to lay with you 'for just a minute'. I love how you squeeze me while I lay with you and pretend you are asleep. I love how you tell me how good my salsa is. I love that you are always hungry. I love that you still nap and that you get to stay up with us at night and want to play candy land every night. I love when you say 'just one more hug.' I love how you talk, how you’ve worked so hard to learn new sounds. I love your enthusiasm for star wars and the wii. I love your imagination and your Star Wars sounds. I love watching you ride your bike like your 8 years old. I love swinging you. I love that you just discovered tv and how much you like it. I love your shyness when your timid and your craziness when your in your comfort zone. I love you.
and a cute Holt story..
Holt has never wanted to pray if we ask him to pray before the meal or at bed time. We've tried encouraging, bribing (yes I know you shouldn't brible your child to pray), and asking nicely. So we did finally decide to let it go and just periodically ask who would like to pray. So Pierce has taken the lead on praying. However, one night after we read our stories we asked who wanted to pray and Holt responded that he wanted to. This is how the prayer went...
"Thank you for the flowers and the thorn bushes and the people who have gas. Amen."
This was not exactly what we had in mind but of course he had us laughing, if only we would of thought of using potty talk to pray he probably would of started a couple years ago.

What we have been up too...

This had something to do with Star Wars..I just don't get the phenomenon, I guess its a boy thing.

Eating daddy's famous popcorn at our super bowl party. This was Star Wars p.j. night. Rachel brought Holt these new pajamas and Pierce finally got a pair of footy pajamas.
And don't worry, Rachel has a pair of foot pajama's too, she's not scared :) not even a little bit, a little bit

Let's see how I would describe our last couple weeks...lots of stomach bug, everyone got it but me. Colds. Lots of whining. Really really really ready for spring and the end of winter. Star Wars..obsessed. A fun visit with Rachel. Did I say we are ready for Spring :)

1st Haircut

Camden had her first hair cut a week ago. She was definately getting a mullet..as seen above. She wasn't a fan of it, even with a lolli pop there was lots of crying.

My girl

So I don't quietly sit on the floor and play with baby dolls as mommy once thought little girls did (this is huge misconception when you have only boys..I really did believe this), however, I have managed to become quite the girly girl! I love shoes, mommy's blush brush, purses, my bows, and looking at myself in the mirror. I put on mommy's heels and boots, daddy's flops, and even want shoes on when I have footed pj's on.

Camden grabbed this purse from Piper one day outside and wouldn't let go of it.

Lazy 5

We took the kids to Lazy 5 Ranch over Christmas break. They loved it!! It was actually a great time to go, we were the only car driving through at the time and it was beautiful with snow still on the ground.

Holt started out feeding the animals with Pierce but after the first Emu stuck its head on the way in the car he jumped to the back seat. He scooted back to the middle a couple times but anytime a Llama or Emu was close he would jump right over the seat. Pierce loved feeding them. Once he realized how aggressive some of them were he would start to just throw the food on the ground.
A picture out the back window, probably eating all the food Pierce would throw to the ground.

Some of the animals would literally start running along side of the car for the food.

I was convinced Jason was going to run one of the animals over, especially the pigs and llamas. He was sure they would move but he would literally be brushing them before they moved over.

A couple fun Christmas Presents

My aunt sent the kids these great pillows (a.k.a. husbands) and matching blankets for Christmas. They love them. My dad still uses one of these to watch tv on the floor sometimes so the boys thought it was great. We are ready for movie night now!
Holt got an automatic batting tee for Christmas. One day during break when it was once again freezing and we were going crazy inside Jason set up this 'batting cage' for Holt in the garage, I have to give it to him on being creative.

White Christmas

Camden's first time playing in the snow. Last year she stayed inside with mommy but we got her out this time. She lasted for a little bit but when you don't want to wear mittens it gets cold pretty fast. Thanks Aunt Corie and Uncle Daniel for my new ski jacket!
