We stopped by a fire station today and this is my shy Pierce in front of the truck. He was begging to go but then was almost scared of the fireman. He told us a lot of the kids get scared, maybe he was making us feel good. He enjoyed it in the end. FYI you can stop by any firehouse and go in as long as they are not on a call. They give you coloring book, sticker, etc and are super nice. I’m always welcome to other outing ideas, now that we have an open summer, if you ever want to post them in my comments.

Don't worry, we have the same problem. They ask to go, and when we get there they're all scared to death :)
We have a friend who is a fireman at the station on Pineville-Matthews Road just past Carmel. We should have a field trip there! Maybe he could hook us up with an insiders tour or something.
You may already know about this but my friend just told me about the nature museum and how much her little one, who is the same age as Holt, loved it. Its also for older kids like Pierce as well. Its $100 for a family membership but that covers 26 months!!! AND on top of the nature museum the membership gets you into the Discovery Place downtown as well. Here is the link http://www.discoveryplace.org/home/discovery_place-home.php I'm thinking of joining, let me know if you're interested and we can go together!
